Software
Most of the software I use comes included with Ubuntu 18.04. Additional software is available via Ubuntu's own Software Manager or via the Terminal, using the apt package manager.

Web browser: Firefox
Email: Thunderbird
Office suite of tools: LibreOffice
Calendar: Lightning is part of Mozilla's Thunderbird email client, and is arguably the best calendar application available at this time, unless you're interested in using Google's Calendar in the browser.
