Contact
Need to reach me? Consider the following options...
The Website
Ummm... yeah. That's where you are right now. On the website. Good.
E-mail is the single best way to make absolutely sure I'll get your message and to make absolutely sure that I'll respond in a timely fashion. I check e-mail several times daily, and will usually be able to respond within 12 hours of your writing me. E-mail is a great way for parents to contact me with concerns regarding their student, and a great way for students to contact me with concerns that they, for whatever reason, are unable to discuss with me in class. My e-mail address is:
Instant Messaging
Online Instant Messaging is ideal for students who need to get a little help while doing homework. I'm not always online, but if I am, you'll be able to find me under the following screen names.
| AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) | rwhite5279 |
| MSN Messenger | rwhite@crashwhite.com |
| Google chat | rwhite5279@gmail.com |
Why yes, I am on Facebook. I've opted out of receiving Facebook notifications, however, so if you really need to reach me, use email.
You can follow me on Twitter, at rwhite5279, although I rarely use it. Not my cup of tea, I'm afraid.
Telephone
The telephone, although convenient, is not recommended as a good way to get hold of me. E-mail is much more reliable, even if it's just to leave me your phone number and let me know when you'd like me to call. That way, I'll be sure to get your message, even if I'm not currently at school.
If you simply must use the phone, my number at Polytechnic School is 626-396-6688.
Talk to me at school
Students are usually able to find me at school, either in the classroom, the lab, or my office. I'm always happy to make arrangements to meet with parents--after school works best, although other times can be easily arranged.
